A mothers love is a special and endless gift. There’s an overwhelming feeling of joy to see your baby; to watch them grow and learn new things. Getting to spend time with my baby has become the bright spot of my day. When she smiles, I smile.

Mama Love Project @ Artomatic 2015!
I’m showing a few photos from the Mama Love Project at ARTOMATIC. Opening night is Friday, October 30. I’m in room 7-066 on the 4th floor. Please come and bring 10 or so of your best friends. You’ll have a blast.
This building has the best parking of any Artomatic so far. I haven’t seen the dance, music, film and workshop schedule yet but there will be plenty to experience so make several visits to take it all in. No need for a sitter. Bring the kids! Don’t forgot to bring your friends!! There’s plenty of space for all.

Michelle & Dakota
I have been a mother for most of my adult life, and each child has made me a stronger, more beautiful woman. The oldest is my inspiration; the middle has given me spirituality; and the youngest has given me youth. Being their mother brings me closer to my true self.

Have a Revolution
Nikki Giovanni once wrote “then I awoke and dug that if I dreamed natural dreams of being a natural woman doing what a woman does when she’s natural, I would have a revolution.” Giovanni’s poem Revolutionary Dreams best describes my experience as a mother; my own personal revolution. Like others, I wanted to change the world, stop hunger, stop crime… start a revolution to better the world. But then I became a mother and I realized that being a mother is the most natural and revolutionary thing I could have ever done!

Motherhood is the most unexpected, challenging, yet ever-so rewarding experience of my life.

I am constantly convicted in my heart as to what unconditional love truly means by becoming a Mother. My children push the love limits in a way that allows me to grow and I am so blessed because of it. Mama love is a love that exceeds all and is something to be cherished forever.

LaTasha & Sage
Being a mom is like receiving a gift every day. There’s always something new to experience. I had no idea how much I would love motherhood and that it would change my life forever. I love the change in me. I thank my daughter for bringing out the best in me. I do what matters most in life, and that’s to be the best mother and wife that I can be because tomorrow, she’ll do something different, and it’s my job to discover all of what she brings to my life. That’s living. That’s motherhood.

Upcoming Exhibit
Eight Mama Love photos will be exhibited at The National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD May 9 to July 12. Security is pretty tight at NIH so don’t plan on walking in off the street if you don’t work there. Contact me for visitation info.
More shows are on the horizon. I’ll keep you posted. If you know of a health, wellness or community facility interested in exhibiting photos from the project, please contact me and we’ll see if we can make it happen.
On your mark. Get set. Wait. Wait. Wait. Go!
A few months ago it seemed as though life’s hills and valleys would level out. That didn’t happen. We tried two new caregivers since November. Neither worked out. Today I accepted the fact that I have to work with my circumstances instead of trying to change them. I’m taking an alternate route to my goal and moving full steam ahead.
I’ll need your help spreading the word about the book and an upcoming exhibit. Subscribe to this blog or like the facebook page for updates. Invite friends to do the same. Thanks a bunch.

Mama Love clearly defines my desire and responsibility to love, cherish, guide and educate for the purpose of creating a more consciously aware generation. I thank GOD everyday for the opportunity to LOVE and NURTURE our children!!!
